Shipping & Returns

Shipping Information

First Place Auto Parts distributes worldwide. Our services include UPS, USPS and LTL options. UPS is used to ship to the United States contiguous 48 states. USPS Priority and Priority International is used for shipments outside of the United States contiguous 48 states, including APO destinations. International shipments do require a shipping quote that can be obtained by completing the form on the bottom of this page.

First Place does offer free shipping within the contiguous 48 states via UPS Ground service on qualifying items and orders. Items eligible for free shipping will show “Free Shipping” next to the add to cart button on their product page. Check out our terms and conditions page for more details.

There are a few important things to keep in mind: 

  • Products may ship separately from different warehouses.
  • Available shipping methods vary depending on products and shipping destinations.
  • Merchandise that is in stock usually ships within 24-48 hours. Shipping time varies on items that are custom or made to order. Look for the estimated delivery date on the product page.
  • Shipments to Canada are treated as all other international shipments. It is the recipient's responsibility to pay all applicable duties, taxes, & brokerage fees.

Important Truck Freight Shipping Information
Some of our products are large (door panels, body panels, deck lids, ect) and must be delivered via truck freight. Whether you plan to install your item right away or later, please take a moment to inspect the box upon delivery for any signs of damage. If you notice anything concerning about the packaging (damaged packaging, missing items, bends or dents in panels), we recommend opening the box while the driver is still present to check the item(s) inside. Any damage should be noted on the delivery ticket before the driver leaves. This step is important to ensure that a claim can be processed if needed, please see our Damages section for more details.

Damages and Shortages
Damages and shortages must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of merchandise. Your shipment is insured by the trucking company that makes the delivery – NOT by First Place Auto Parts. If you find your item(s) damaged, you MUST have the driver note the damage on the delivery receipt. If the damage is severe, please refuse delivery and call our office immediately - we will take care of the claim and send you a replacement. If you find the item damaged after you have signed and accepted the item and the damage was not noted on the delivery receipt, First Place Auto Parts will not be able to help you with a claim. By signing the delivery receipt, you are certifying that you have received your item(s) in good condition. If you ship to someone other than yourself, you must let them know to inspect the item(s) for damage. If they sign the delivery receipt certifying that the item was in good condition when it arrived and you find any damage after the fact, First Place Auto Parts will not be able to help you with a claim.

Returns & Exchanges

First Place Auto Parts accepts no-hassle returns within the first 30 days of delivery for orders within the contiguous US. 

For orders delivered within the contiguous US where reason for return is not a result of a First Place error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and the cost of the return shipment will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. If the return is a result of a processing error, First Place will provide a prepaid shipping label and send out the correct replacement at no additional charge. 

Freight, international & non-continental US returns are accepted, however coordination of return shipping is the responsibility of the client. In the event an error is made by First Place, a return shipping label will be provided.

Product(s) must be in new condition and in the original packaging (please do not assemble, install, or modify the product in any way). In the event of fitment, flaw or defect pictures may be necessary to complete your request.

Any product that was used or fully/partially installed is non-returnable.

In some cases, return of the physical product may not be required. For these products, instructions will be provided on how to process a field destroy or dispose of the original item.

All returns and exchanges must be made via the following procedure:

1) Complete a submission below with the following request/information:

  • fpautoparts.com order number
  • Part #(s) that are to be returned
  • Reason code: Changed Mind, Shipment Damaged, Item Defective
  • Desired solution: Refund or Exchange

2) If approved our customer service team will provide instructions to return the items
