1969 Chevy Camaro Engine Options
For 1969 Chevrolet offered 12 different engine options starting at a 230 cu in straight 6. Multiple small block V8s and big blocks were offered including the ZL-1 all-Aluminum 427. Multiple transmissions were also available, 4-speed manuals were available with any engine option. A 2 speed Powerglide, or 3 speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 were available with straight 6 and small block V8 engines. A Turbo 400 transmission was the only automatic option for 396 & 427 Big Block engines. Only 69 Camaros were built using the ZL-1 engine for NHRA Super Stock racing.
