One of the most used and abused items on a pickup truck is the tail gate. Many 1973-87 Chevrolet “Square body” Trucks were originally equipped with an aluminum tail gate band that over time got lost, dented, scratched or oxidized and needs replacing.
Trim Parts, well known in the muscle car restoration community for manufacturing high quality and exact detail emblems and lenses, is now making emblems, lenses and trim for popular 70’s and 80’s GM pickup trucks.

Manufactured from new tooling and licensed by GM, the new tail gate bands are manufactured for exacting fit and finish, just like the originals.

Unlike the other tail gate bands made by other companies, the Trim Parts has manufactured the correct tail gate bands for both the 73-80 trucks and the 81-87 trucks. In addition, Trim Parts has made the panels out of the correct alloy instead of the softer, inferior alloy offered by the competition. As a final touch of quality, the stripes on the Trim Parts tail gate bands are painted on like original unlike the competitor’s product which uses tape stripes which can peel and fall off over time.

The Trim Parts tailgate bands are a GM licensed product and include a high quality, OE correct “Chevrolet” or “GMC” script emblem. The competitions tailgate panel is not GM licensed and has no provisions for the correct name plate script.
